Description
I witnessed a vehicle accident at the corner of Congress and Guilbeaux at approximately 6:55pm on Monday 6/27. I was unable to stay at the scene but wanted to report what I saw. I was traveling behind a white VW sedan on Congress going toward Lafayette High. We had a green light at Guilbeau. The VW was going through the intersection when a silver Kia (Optima?) coming from the opposite direction attempted to turn left unto Guilbeau. That is when the two cars collided. I slowed down to avoid what may happen. The light on Congress did not turn yellow until I was turning right on Guilbeau (approximately 5-10 seconds after the collision) The white car stopped ahead of the intersection and the silver Kia turned into a parking lot on Guilbeau.
