Environmental Issues

Environmental Issues are handled by LCG’s Environmental Quality division of Public Works. Environmental Quality’s mission is to improve the quality of life and environment for all citizens of Lafayette Parish through comprehensive and dynamic recycling, composting and household waste programs, steadfast and equitable enforcement of local environmental codes, and by properly ensuring LCG's compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.  For more information on Environmental Quality, please visit https://lafayettela.gov/public-works/environmental-quality.

Abandoned vehicle and debris on property reports are now handled by LCG's Community Development & Planning Compliance Division.
